There are loads of Filipino past-times that you need to understand and experience before you date a Filipina (a woman from the Philippines). Knowing what your Filipina date likes to do will make it easier for you to plan how you want to spend time together for future dates, especially if you’re going to visit her country. What Filipinas Like to Do
1. Text
Filipinas love to text. When you’re visiting her in her country, get a phone that works in the Philippines. Better yet, have your handset settings set so you can still use it when you’re travelling. The Philippines is known as the texting capital of Asia so that says a lot about how much Filipinos love to text. The texting culture, though, is way different than how you text in the Western countries because, for one, abbreviations or text expressions are not the same. It’s up to you to do your own research on how you can text like a Pinoy Pro.
TIP: Even if you haven’t figured out how to text like a Filipino, you can still send her sweet messages at random times of the day.
2. Sing
Filipinas love to sing. On a typical night out, there will almost always be singing involved. This is why, if you’ve observed local bars carefully, there is an abundance of coin operated karaoke machines, karaoke rooms and the like. Know that most Filipinas have really good singing voices. Some, not so good but it isn’t stopping them from singing in public.
TIP: Surprise her with a visit to a karaoke bar after dinner. Maybe you can also show off what you’ve got? If you’re a little shy, no worries. Opt for karaoke rooms instead – sing your heart out, eat and drink in your own private room.
3. Eat
If there’s one top thing that Filipinas like to do it’s eat. In the Philippines culture a typical day would include breakfast, maybe a bit of snack before eating lunch, lunch, afternon snacks or coffee and then dinner. It just so happens that most Filipinas like eating home cooked food which consists mostly of fish and vegetables hence their slim figure is maintained.
TIP: Acquaint yourself with the different kinds of Filipino dishes – main dishes, snacks and etc. Once you;re out on a date with your Filipina beauty, you can dazzle her by ordering native Filipino dishes that you’ve tasted (and that you like, hopefully).
4. Bond with family
Family is very important to Filipinos. When your girl introduces you to her family then that’s a good sign. Once this happens, make sure that you attend family gatherings and events and really make an effort to bond with her family. Say yes every time her mother invites you to lunch or dinner.
TIP: Only do this if you want to have a serious relationship with your Filipina girl. If she wants a non-serious relationship, chances are, she won’t introduce you to her kin and you wouldn’t have to worry about #4.
5. Go to the mall
This may sound strange but Filipinos like hanging out at malls. They like to window shop, they like to actually shop, they like to eat and hang out, and do other fun things that you can do in Philippine malls.
