True Or False: Do Women Always Want To Be Friends First?

Men usually know about the friend-zone – a fictional and dreaded place where no man wants to be. Many of you reading this now probably know how difficult it is to go past the friend-zone when you are already there. So, we ask: do women always want to be friends first? And is there any way to escape being in the friend-zone?

Friends First, And Then Love Comes After?

In an attempt to understand women’s psyche better, we will answer this question today without beating around the bush. If a female tells you that she wants to be friends first, it could mean that she needs more time to size you up.

What It Means To Be Friends First

Before we go any further, here’s a good reminder: “I just want to be friends” is different from “I want to be friends first”. Just friends mean that you’re simply just friends. It’s like she sees you as a brother.

But, if she wants to be friends at the beginning, it means that she wants to get to know you and see if she can truly trust you with her heart. You have to practice active listening when she’s talking about stuff like this because you don’t want to interchange what she means.

If she tells you that she just wants to be buddies, I’m sorry man, you’ve been friend-zoned.

Can You Escape?

Unfortunately, once you’re in the friend-zone, she doesn’t view you that way. You may be good-looking, and your woman friend may agree, but she will not look at you as a lover.

It’s too bad, but there are rare cases where men do go past this zone and become more than just a friend.  Unfortunately, they haven’t shared their escape plans with the world yet. It’s a sensitive situation because you could potentially end the friendship when you tell her the truth.

The Best Advice For Situations Like These

If a woman tells you that she wants to get to know you and be buddies with you first, the romantic potential is there. Believe it or not, you can speed things up by agreeing with her. The more she gets to know you, the more she will fall for you. But, if she tells you that she wants to be just friends, it’s time to move forward and meet other women.
